Well my beautiful baby is now 7 weeks old and i'm wondering about getting fluid put back in my band.    Has any one had trouble loosing weight again after baby with band??

Will having my calories restricted mess up my breast feeding completely/???

Any advice would be welcome!@    I'm having lots of trouble controlling eating now that i'm no longer pregnant and there is no fluid in my band..

Valerie,
I would go for a fill.  My band baby is 16 months old.  I breast fed her for 11 months.  I was lucky and lost all the weight I had gained within a couple of weeks.  I later gained about 15 back because I had to have my band unfilled due to reflux.  It took me several months to get my restriction back and to lose that weight.  Just in the past few weeks I started losing more.  Now I'm 6 weeks pregnant and the weight loss will put on hold for a while.
As long as your band isn't really tight, I would think you could get enough calories for breastfeeding.   For me drinking enough was probably more important than calories.
Good luck,
Amy

Thanks Amy!!!  I just really need to get back on track and go back to loosing.. just want to be able to keep breastfeeding.   I've put in a call to my dr to schedule me for a fill.

I am going to ask him about doing a upper GI - i threw up so much while pregnant that sometimes my stomach physically hurts and it concerns me that it may have slipped some..  but i'll ask them.

Thanks for the advice - i'm glad to know you also breastfed while having had a fill.   how long did you wait before getting your fill'?

Valerie,
I'm glad you have scheduled a fill.  I never had an unfill during pregnancy.  I had 2cc's in my 4cc band the entire pregnancy.   Hannah was 4 months old when I started having really bad reflux and ended getting unfilled and staying that way for a few months.  I believe I had a total of 3 fills (and 1 unfill) while I was breastfeeding.
With an upper GI make sure you let them know you are breastfeeding. I'm not for sure what meds they give you for that.
Good luck!
Amy
