I've been on my feet all day & I'm swollen from my toes to my hips!  They feel so tight.  I know I need to watch salt intake....what else to help flush this?  Hoping when I wake up tomorrow it won't be so bad.  TIA!

Korean Remedy:  Eat a baked pumpkin!  LOL!

My mom is Korean and swore by this when I was lookin' like I had Shrek legs just before delivering Kellen and afterwards.  My skin was so tight I was afraid my skin would pop open just from lying a sheet on them.  She made me a baked pumpkin and viola!  Swelling was gone the next day!  I swear!  Then, I saw it on Baby Story where a Korean grandma was making her daughter a baked pumpkin and her swelling went down too.  LOL!!!

I know it's not really pumpkin season but maybe canned?  HA HA HA!

Good luck!

I feel like this is my answer to everything tonight, but drink more water, it really will help.

Ditto here!  I drink a little over 70 ounces of water daily and i still stay swollen. I am on my feet working outside about 3 hours daily......so i know that does not help me. Have you tried diabetic socks?..They are available at Walmart in the Pharmacy section. I also use lo-salt....it is by Morton and comes in a light blue container......has half the sodium and i promise you cant tell the difference.

Pumkin does work. Also, add a little lemon juice to your water. Both are natural diuretics. I do have to add a word of caution though---make sure if you are dizzy, get blurry vision, headaches, or nausea  that you have your OB check your blood pressure. These, along with swelling, are signs of pre-eclampsia.

take care,
Angie

MY OB recommends drinking more water, getting less salt, and lay on your left side with your feet slightly elevated as that helps things drain.
What I have found works awesome? Get in the pool! Whenever I go to my water aerobics class the combination of the movement plus the pressure from the water really decompresses things nicely!
