Update after D&E
I realized I only posted this as a rply earlier - so here it is.
I had to be at the hospital at 7:15 - they took me right in and got me changed and set up. Dr Yeh came in and told me she had to do a procedure and would be ready for me in about an hour and a half (turns out later that she had to do a c-section!), IV went in first try, barely even felt it and they gave me some "happy drugs", I wasn't in the OR 2 minutes and I was out cold. The procedure took about 10 miniutes. I had a D&E which is (whatever D stands for) and extraction - basically she sucked everything out. I had some moderate cramping in recovery and got some meds immediately. Well then my BP dropped 80something over 50something - so they gave me another bag of fluids on "full-tilt" and that brought it right back up. I wasn't in recovery 5 minutes, I woke up sobbing so they went and got Chris and let him sit with me the whole time. I was in recovery about an hour and back in same day surgery about an hour - they gave me some toast and diet gingerale and I started to feel better. One of the nurses on my way out actually told me that I looked great for what I just went through. I was home resting by noon.
CHris is doing a great job taking care of me and he is dealing with this himself. I have almost no cramping and very little bleeding - not sure if tomorrow will be worse.
Thank You to all of you for your texts, e-mails, messages and posts of support - it means more to us then you can imagine!
*hugs* and love

I'm glad you are physically ok. That was good they went and got Chris for you...how great. And it's good that you aren't cramping and bleeding so bad. D&C/E's (Dilation and Extraction) are just horrible emotionally and physically. Take lots of time to rest and just gather yourself...
Big hugs!
Sandy

Liz,
I am so sorry for your loss. I've been watching your progress and was so sad to see your post yesterday. It's just heartbreaking. I'm not going to tell you that each day it gets easier because it doesn't. Each day your emotions will be different and you will deal with them as they come. Some days will be easier than others until one day you find yourself looking forward to the next (so you can try again).
My heart is right there with you and Chris as you go through this difficult time. Please take the time that you need to heal physically but especially emotionally.
