Need and Unnecessary
I found out that I needed waterproof pads for the changing table. I had a cute cover on the padding and it got dirty pretty quickly so I liked the waterproof pads to keep it clean and dry. I don't know if they still make them but I had this plastic thing that attached to the changing table that stored about 10 -15 diapers and the creams, lotions and things. I used that alot. I had a wipe warmer and I liked it. I just wet a baby washcloth and put it at the bottom and the wipes stayed moist and warm.
A tip since you're having a boy - when changing a diaper for a boy, always point the penis down. :) No one told me this and when I would pick him up the back of him was soaked. I thought the diapers just sucked but the nurse finally told me that you have to point "it" down.
