Did you just "know"

That you were having a boy or a girl?? I have had a few people mention that they just knew right away the sex of the baby and were right! I am almost 11 weeks and still teetering back and forth between boy and girl. Maybe I'll get more of an intuition tomorrow after getting to see the baby and hear the heartrate!!

Also  - when does the heartrate "split" where girls are faster and boys are slower - is the further down the line or right from the get go?

Thanks ladies - can't wait to fill you in on how things go tomorrow with the perinatologist!!

Heck i thought i knew i was for sure having a little boy again........not the case. My sons heartrate was always very high 160-170's. This time around with my daughter her heartrate started early on in the 170's and has "Settled" in the 140's.

No........I didn't "just know". LOL

MY first Pregnancy, I was SO SURE I was having a girl. I just knew it. And no one was telling me otherwise. Well, when US time came.............she said it was a boy. I said nope, you don't know what you are talking about. I made her go get another tech, and so on. I had every tech working that day looking, plus the doc confirmed it. I was having a boy! LOL

With 2nd, I didn't really know, and didn't care either way that time. It was a boy!

With 3rd, I had hoped for a girl but had a feeling it was a boy. But it turned out to be a girl finally!

With 4th, I wanted a boy, and he was, although he is in heaven now.

With 5th, I wanted a boy and that's what I got. But Johnny SWORE it was going to be a girl that time. He was wrong!

So I guess you could say we were pretty crappy at guessing.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I guessed right with each one of my 3 kids.   We didnt' find out with the two older ones until they were born but we did with Sadie.

A funny story is my sister didn't want to know what my nephew was (he's now 12 yrs old).   My dad jokingly called him Willabe when she was pregnant.   He would say it's Willabe....will a be a boy or will a be a girl.   We still call that poor boy Willabe to this day!

I thought for sure I was having a girl - everyone else thought for sure I was having a girl too. After my first appointment for gender - they said they could not see any boys parts and so I thought everyone was right - a couple weeks later, we found out everyone was wrong and I was actually having a boy! His heartrate started out pretty high - low to mid 160's and has leveled out between 130-140.

I don't think there is anyway to really tell until they spread their legs and show the goods.

But with that said - I still think you're having a boy!

My Mom always thought it was a boy. She said I wouldn't know what to do with a girl, if I had one. So, she was determined I'd be stuck with boys. I already had one boy, so I had my mind set on a girl, to even it out. Well, early on in the pregnancy I was getting zits, pimples, etc pretty regularly. This was odd for me because I was the one that always had the clear and clean face even when I didn't wa**** every night. They say, if you have zits or pimples during the pregnancy then it was a girl. Well, I had my heart set on a girl and on the day of going for a check-up and having the ultrasound done to confirm the gender of the baby, George Straits "I Saw God Today" was playing on the radio while I was pulling into the parking lot. If you have never heard the song, it talks about his daughter being born. I knew right off the bat, I was having a girl. That song sealed the deal! And sure enough... it was a girl! Her heartbeat was sometimes high and other times it was low, so that in itself, I couldn't really depend on.
