Diapers reviews and a food item too
I know from time to time there is some talk about diapers. I remember before Sophie was born, I didn't know which diapers to buy and why. So I thought I'd put this out there for any first time mommies who are trying to decide which poopy pants they want to change.
Here is my take and you are all free to chime in with your agreement or disagreement. Please give reasons because that will help the new mommies.
But first.........A FOOD ITEM: I recently tried True North's Almond Crisps and they are SOOOOO good. 5 g of Protein, so they are a decent snack. They take a couple bites to get used to them, and then you are HOOKED. Just wanted to share that with you. Back to diapers....
Huggies..... I love the Newborn, Size 1, and Size 2 (they stop at size 2 which ticks me off) of the Huggies with CuddleCare (or whatever it's called). Those are my favorite diapers because they are both soft and absorbent. I have no complaint about them. They're perfect. Other kinds of Huggies are not good. They are less soft, less flexible, and they break up and leave little crumbs on the baby's booty. I like the Huggies swim diapers, Little Swimmers
Pampers....These are expensive, but good. The Sensitive brand are very breathable, but as such get saturated more quickly because they are more lightweight. These are only good if your baby has super duper crazy sensitive skin or if they get recurrent rashes. All other Pampers are ok, but not necessarily all that great for the money. Almost as soft as Huggies Cuddlecare. I have not tried the Pampers swim diapers.
Luvs....These are super cheap and actually they are a good diaper. My complaint is they are scented and the smell is obnoxious. It gets in the diaper bag and in the baby's clothes and it annoyed me!
Sam's Club, Member's Mark diapers......My current favorite. They are cheap, soft enough, flexible enough, absorbant enough. Good deal for the money. They have Garfield on them, which I neither hate nor love.
Babies R Us, Especially For Babies diapers......Way too thick, do not breathe, not flexible, rough, hard. Basically they are slabs of super thick cardboard. If they were free, I would not use them ever again. Threw away a whole case of them, I hate them that much. If you have bought any of these, my opinion is you should return them without even opening the box/package.
Walgreen's diapers--ok, not too bad
Seventh Generation diapers---I liked these a lot, but the price wasn't the greatest. They are brown, and you feel like you are doing something healthy or eco-friendly by using them, but again, price is a major factor to me.
Those are the ones I remember having tried.

We recently tried the Target brand, they're called Up & Up and love them! They are just as good as the Huggies Cuddle Care. We alway bought the Cuddle Care until Target was out one day and gave the Up & Up's a try...... wonderful! We get 92 size 4's for $13.92. They also have an adorable polka dot design on them. My son is a leaker and we have yet to have a leak with these, we're on our 4th case, I believe.
I also have tried the babies R us brand diapers... I also HATED them! I got them from some one at my baby shower...I just didn't like them, they leaked and they weren't very soft to me! We have a whole bunch that we never used because I couldn't even stand to "use them up"!!
