its 4 am...............
I have to vent..sorry...Aiden (again ...since Thursday last week) is up SCREAMING...I "think" it is his teeth..but seriously I feel soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad for this little guy.I never have heard any baby in so much pain over teething..I cannot console him..I am beside myself on what to do..nothing seems to be helping..right now have him in the bonus room in the swing...
I mean I want to run back to the Dr and say SOMETHING isn't right...but how do you check out teething or is it something else? Is there some sort of test? should I call a dentist???He is running a low grade fever 100.6 ish... seems pretty lethargic..has his hands in his mouth clawing at the gums...doesn't eat much..in fact was being a little piggy last week drinking almost 8 oz...now I am lucky if he will take 2 oz...
I haven't had much sleep in a while..so my emotions are fragile.. I just feel so helpless.......................

I'm sorry to hear he's having such a hard time...and thus you too.
I don't think it'd hurt to call the dr and have them check him just to make sure it is his teeth. I don't know if there's any new stuff out there now for babies to help w/the discomfort from teething. There used to be the baby orajel...have you tried that? Or will he chew on a pacifier or something just to gnaw them through? Maybe give him some tylenol for the pain and to bring the temp down?
Hope something works soon so you both can get your rest.

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry and I know how desperate you feel. He sounds just like Everett's been this last week.
Trust your instincts and bring him back to the Dr! So many times with Ethan I would bring him to the Drs "too early" so everything looked fine, only to have an ear infection a few days later.
I'm here if you need to vent and I'm almost always awake if you want to call!
Hugs,

good point... the too early issue.. yes, its got to be something..sigh.. then on top he has his "normal" gas pains and barfing..so maybe its a tummy thing on top of teething on top of a virus????sheesh..
I am going to lie down on the couch here and see if I can get a nap...I really am SO exhausted..or not now he is waking up...ugh

Oh my..........
I AM NOT A DOCTOR! However, I would consider calling and taking him back in. It just doesn't seem like teething the way you are describing it. While not unheard of, it isn't quite as common for babies to get teeth that young. And definately not molars.
So I am wondering if it's something else going on. I feel for you and Aiden. It's so hard when you just can't figure out what the problem is. And it makes you feel helpless and frustrated.
Definately call the doc and tell them he is not right. You know his behavior and routine. You are the only one who knows when things aren't right.
Good Luck!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
