For those who have had babies both before WLS and after WLS, did you see any difference in size? I am curious as to weather the babies tend to be smaller, less digestion of food. Or bigger, I have read higher protein favors bigger babies.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is any correlation between babies' size before or after WLS. I think it is just genetics.

I had small babies pre and post-op.

My cousin had big babies pre and post-op.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

thanks! That is what I am hoping. All of mine have been in the 7# range. I am hoping this one is too.

Pre-Op baby  8 pounds 10 oz. Gained 25 lbs with the pregnancy.

Post -Op Baby  6 pounds 12 oz. I got pregnant with my Daughter only 8 months out from surgery and only gained 4 lbs with the pregnancy.

With this pregnancy I'm now 28 weeks and have gained about 15 lbs and the baby feels HUGE!! I asked my doctor yesterday if he was measuring big and he told me no, that he was right on target, so we will see?

I also don't think there is a correlation.

Pre-op - 8lbs, 1oz (8 days overdue/41 weeks)

Post-op - 6lbs, 13oz (13 days early/38 weeks) - dr. took her early due to medical issues I was having, nothing to do with baby.

If I had gone Xtra 3 weeks with 2nd baby (the difference between the 2) she would have been even bigger than pre-op baby!

Thanks everyone. I was just curious. I am hoping to have a baby around the same size.

Well, I was 4 months out from surgery when I got pregnant and managed to still have a 10.5 lb baby!  We tend to make 'em big in our families.  LOL.  But I have no idea what I would have done pre-op...couldn't keep a healthy pregnancy to save my life.  I'm SO hoping these twins are between 5-6 lbs each!  :-)
