Travel System Approved!

Even though I was completely overwhelmed while attempting to register the other day...I did put a Graco Snugride Infant Car Seat on the registry. After a bunch of previous research and several recommendations, I knew it was the infant seat for us. I chose the "Sterling" pattern. I also registered for the matching stroller, even though I wasn't sure if I'd truly like it at the time.

Well, fast-forward to today when I met up with a few dear friends for lunch. One of my friends brought her 10.5 month old, and sure enough she was in the exact stroller (and pattern) I had registered for. So, when it was time to leave I asked my friend if I could "drive" the stroller and fold it up, stow it in the car trunk, etc. I'm thrilled to report that it was very easy to use, I could fold it with one arm while holding a sleeping baby in the other arm. Yay. I took it as a sign that this was the travel system for us.

My main reason for feeling overwhelmed when registering was the thought that I was asking for items that may not meet our/the baby's needs. Now I know that the car seat and stroller will meet our needs.... I don't have to stress/worry about them any more.

Don't mean to sound stupid but is this one of the ones that goes in the stroller?

Yes, it snaps onto the stroller and then as the baby grows, he can go directly in the stroller w/o the car seat.

K, That is what I want too. I was looking at others (we were baby shower shopping) and then hubby showed me the ones that do the car seat and stroller. Fell in love with them. Mostly cause they were like the ones I wanted (not a flimsy one) and cause I wouldn't have to pad the little guy to fit in the stroller.

well a few things we skipped at first was the bumbo seat... and then Lore got acid reflux and it was awesome to have for the 2 months she sat in it before she started to walk at 8 months lol... but it was one of the few things I really really loved...

we also skipped for a while the exerisauser- my MIL got us one used Lore had more fun with it at 2.5 half years old and not at 6 months we we were trying to use it lol... one of those spinny things with little balls in it that made noise scared the crap out of her... she would hit it and then scream... crazy kid lol... so we got rid of it... I have registered for a boucing type one so that Lorelei can play with the baby in it... and the baby be safe...

But we never got a play mat thingie... we are looking to get one so that Lorelei can lay on the ground with the baby to hang out...

so this time around we are trying to think of ways to include Lore in things with her little sister...

But, you can ask for gift cards and explain we aren't sure if we will need "Blank item" but if we do we will use your gift card to get "blank item"... we put on our list diapers... huggies and pampers and wipes... and lotion etc... not sure if you are going to BF or bottle feed... but it is a good thing to put a few bottles on there just incase things don't workout with BF... also you could put sippy cups (for later) etc... 2 diaper bags is a good thing... Lore spit up all over the one and got it IN the bag... so glad we had a 2nd one while the other got washed and air dried...

Good luck... and that is a great travel system... I have a lot of friends that have it... and love it...
