Sinus infection, anyone?

DD brought home a little cold last week - I started getting sick on Tuesday but really didn't get more than a little head cold. But yesterday things got significantly worse, and I feel super-crappy now. Can't breathe through my nose, even with OB-approved Sudafed.

I'm going to call my OB tomorrow morning, just wondering how many of you have been through it... I was so sick the whole time with DD, as I had just gotten over Mono when I got pregnant, and my immune system was completely incapacitated!

Off to beg DH to go get me some soup at the chinese place the second they open...

besides the antibotics... get some acidophlois (it is the good bacteria in yogurt in pill form) and some saline spray to help get that yumk out of your head faster... also taking allergy meds can help prevent sinus infections... I used to get them 10+ times a year... I now get it once a year since I am on allergy meds every day... and they are safe for pregnancy....

SOME allergy meds are safe during pregnancy.

Please be careful with blanket statements like this.

There are medications that are "safer" then others when pregnant but an OB will tell you to weigh the pros and cons before taking ANY medication while pregnant. I feel like it is dangerous to ever say something is "safe" while pregnant because it may not be for every fetus or pregnancy.

Claritin (just the plain) is a GOD SEND!!! I was horribly stuffy, 2 days with that back to normal!
