Oh man memories!!   I can remember Sat morning cartoons....laff olympics....smurfs...school house rock....roadrunner....pink panther.   We also used to watch shows as a family...Little House on the Prairie....Waltons...Dukes of Hazzard...and we used to watch the muppet show with my grandpa.   I also really really liked Punky Brewster and Alf!   However I was a bit older when those were on.   For toys I really remember my cabbage patch doll...course I was older for that too.   I remember playin with my playdoh barbershop set a lot...we played a lot of board games and card games.   We also spent  a lot of time outside playing whether it was winter or summer.   Sadie has decided she just loves loves loves Strawberry Shortcake and the CareBears!   She loves her Sat morning when we can watch these two shows with daddy.

Saturday morning cartoons disappeared for a while. Past couple of years they came back and the shows are nice wholesome cartoons, the kind I would want Max to watch. I catch my husband watching the old cartoons on Boomerang all the time. He says it is a nice way to escape mentally. What I do miss is the family shows, just not on any more.  Don't get me wrong,  I love my Two and a half men, How I met your mother, Greys and much more but i would love shows to watch with my 8, 11, 13 and 16 year old neices and nephews that is not Nickelodean shows.

Any one remember Popples?

Oh yeah, I loved Punky Brewster and Kids Incorperated!   God I feel old now :)

AHHHHH memories. We played outside all the time. There were 5 of us girls who were all tom boys and played in the woods and the pond all the time. As for toys my favorites were.

The Sunshine Family
My record player
My stuffed dog collection
Atari LOL

My favorite TV show was Land of the Lost. They have been showing it lately on CHILLER and I LOVE IT! My brother and I had to take turns and I would watch Scooby Doo and then he would pick the superfriends that lasted 3 hours. It was so unfair. I am still angry about it LOL.

One of my favorite memories was when we would get home from church and Bill Kennedy at the movies would be on. They would show either an old Shirley Temple movie, Andy Hardy, Abbot and Costello ect. This would be in the 70's. It was a great time to be a child.

When I was 11 I got my own black and white tv in my room. It was before cable and on Friday nights I would watch Love Boat and Fantasy Island. Good times.
