Another Trip to the Pediatrician

I was already on Zoloft after having my daughter 4 years ago, but that has now been increased to 150mg and I added 200mg of Wellbutrin plus tripled my iron intake to try to get the anemia under control.

Are you on Facebook? If so, you can find me via email: [email protected]

I'm here for you anytime you want to chat and especially after baby arrives. PPD is the worst feeling and so isolating. I always wonder how women survived this many years ago when there weren't meds and the men weren't supportive.

I'm praying this time will be a breeze for you.

Hugs,

Jo

Oh Poor Everett! and you listen to me Mama....Stop guilting yourself. 5 week olds do not know how to show us when their ears hurt. I'm glad he's getting his meds. I know what you mean about your skin not being as thick this time around. With Alex, I was a total Spartan...now...geez, I must getting soft in my old age.

Give little E some snuggles for us. Hugs to you,
Angie

Thanks Angie! I guess I somehow equated the hyperemesis and getting PG so soon postop with Everett's health issues. Not rational at all, but still my thoughts. Everett is a bit better today, so I'm happy to see improvement and I appreciate your understanding.

Now, the real question is how are YOU? I hope you're able to stop the racing thoughts and wondering long enough to get some quality sleep.

Hugs,

Jo

Jo...I'd guess the 'guilt' is actually a little hormones still...and a lot of exhaustion.  I hope he's feeling better soon and you get some rest.

Re the older kids washing their hands, etc...is there a way you can make it fun for them?  Maybe get some of those 'crayon' soaps to wash up with?  They make colored bubbles on their hands?  Normally they're for the shower, but if it got them washing their hands, it might be worth the expense.  I have seen in magazines some sort of soap dispenser for kids...can't think what it's called, but I'm thinking it's orange and green, and has hand soap and wipes for cleaning up after they use the toilet...the soap puts out a foam soap when they pump it rather than liquid.  Can't promise it'd get them in their washing up ALL the time...but it'd probably get them in there 25-50% of the time?

Ah Holly, you are so wise! Definitely exhaustion and PPD were culprits in the overwhelming feelings of guilt! Everett is a bit better today, so I am encouraged to see him more comfortable and know that he's healing. Great ideas on the fun soap. The kids are great about washing now, and using Purel, but their washing skills could use extra time and attention.

How are you? Forgive me, but I've lost track of where you are in the TTC process. I know you had a couple promising follicles and were getting ready for IUI, right?
