OK... so yesterday I went through my house getting all my "pre-pregnancy" clothes out of my clothes and into bins to put away and got all my pregnancy clothes to the front of my clothes... needless to say... it was quite a big job.

In the afternoon I started have a pretty bad headache so I took one of my Fioricet (which is prescribed by my OB). No Help.

-Took 2 more about an hour before I went to bed (it says 1-2 pills every 4 hrs). No Help.
-Woke up with my 4 yr old to a MASSIVE HEADACHE at 3AM.  Took 2 more pills. NO FREAKIN HELP. Had to stay up for about and hr and a half to wait for it to help before laying my head down. SO TIRED!!!
-Woke up today at 6AM... MASSIVE HEADACHE. Took 2 pills..,

I just DONT UNDERSTAND why I cant get rid of this. It hasnt EVER been SO  BAD, since Ive been pregnant.   Im DYING OVER HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Any suggestions???

Thanks guys...

sorry to hear you feel so crummy! Migraines are the worst. When I get them I lay down in a dark room with an ice pack behind my neck. That or I sit in the shower and let the water run over the back of my head switching from cold to warm - back and forth.

Hope you can get some relief soon!Try something for your sinuses too - many times I get migraines for sinus congestion. OR dehydration! drink up.

Hope you feel better real soon!

I can SO RELATE!!!!!!!!

I am now currently 33 wks 5 days pregnant, but at about 16 weeks (mid Feb.) I started having headaches.  I called my ob office after about 4 days of living on tylenol.  They prescribed Fioricet.  They had to increase them from 2 to 3 a day after a week.  By mid March, I ended up in the ER (I was 20 weeks). I had been up all night with it pounding, and it wouldn't subside.  They did a CAT scan to rule out any brain bleeding, and had to give me 2 doses of morphine to get the pain under control!  It brought the pain down from a 9 to a 5!

The ob office at that point put me on percocet, and sent me to a neurologist.  I saw a neurologist, who then sent me to a opthamologist.  They could see the optic nerves behind my eyes "bulging".  This indicated pressure behind my eyes.  I then ended up with a MRI, and a spinal tap out of it all.  My cerebral (brain) pressure was fine.  They basically could find nothing wrong except to chalk it up to the pregnancy!!!  I think it is the "male" hormones since I am pregnant with a boy!

The problem is there are no migraine meds to safely take, they all cause fetal abnormalities.  So, they only thing they can do is help with the pain.  I was getting by on 1 percocet a day till the end of April, and tylenol to supplement.  Then I had to go to 1 percocet in the a.m., and one in the late afternoon with tylenol inbetween, and at bed.  By the middle of May, I had to go to 3 a day to be able to stand the pain.

I basically have a headache constantly.  The pain pills bring the pain down to where I can stand it.

I am due July 25th, and now my dr is talking about taking the baby by the 4th of July, just to get rid of the headaches!!!  I will be 37 weeks then.  They/ I am now getting concerned that the baby/he and / or I are/will be addicted and want to get me delivered to be able to get me off of the percocet.

If they don't go away after delivery (which I hope they do!!!), then at least I can take migraine meds then.

If you want to talk/contact me just PM me and I would be happy to talk to you about !  I have definately been through it all when it comes to headaches!

Well... I had headaches I was taking tylenol 4 (with codeine) before I go pregnant because my headaches were getting worse, but they werent as bad as they are now.

I have been on fioricet since 5 weeks which is when my OB prescribed it for me.

Not sure about the gender thing because i NEVER had ANYTHING WHATSOEVER when I was pregnant with my son. No MS (now im on phenergan), boobs hurting, headaches... non of it.

Hopefully I can figure something out
Thank you for the advise :-)

When do you find out what you are having?  It is pretty common to get headaches if you are pregnant with a girl, just because of the hormones.  I had issues with them for a while but then just disappeared one day.

I have an ultrasound on July 31st ( 2 days before my 27th bday)  to find out the gender. CANT WAIT... obviously. I called my OB this am and she says the headaches should go away within 2 weeks.... but i think that is just a band-aid (kind of BS) to just "wait it out"... you know what I mean????

Did you go off caffeine for your pregnancy?

If so, go get you a SF red bull and chug that.

That sounds so good right about now!  Maybe I need to buy a case of them from Costco cause I can't seem to stay awake at work anymore!
