Doctor called (promised update)

The doctor called and confirmed what I had already come to accept and that I knew.
My level went from 197 on Thursday to 17 yesterday.

My bleeding has gotten worse over the last 2 days it is definetly not spotting, however the cramping has gone away (something to be thankful for).

My husband and I knew we were going to get the news today and because of our suspisions decided to stay home so we could be home when we got the news.  I am glad that I did.

My OB wants another level test on the 17th to make sure that I have returned to a <5 level and then she is going to see me on the 18th (the date that was suppose to be my ultra sound) to help us discuss how to move forward and when we can start trying again, I am hoping shes going to say soon.

I promise I am not going anywhere.  I just get to change my classification haha back to trying, like my hubby said, mating season just opened back up (he ofcourse is trying in his own way to make me smile).  Thank you everyone for your help support and kind words.

I am so sorry Amanda. I am glad you and hubby are there for each other and have a positive attitude about it. I hope you get the go ahead to try again soon.

I had my levels checked yesterday too as I have been miscarrying for eight days. They were still in the 800's so I have another week of this. I lost the baby and sac on Sunday night. Now, I am just waiting for everything else to finish. I am just ready for this to be done, so we can move forward.

You are in my thoughts!

I know how you feel, I just want it to be over with so that we can proceed forward.
My levels never went very high which is probably one of the reasons for the loss.  It looks like they dropped fairly quickly so that is good, maybe this wont drag on.  Like I said one more blood check in a week hopefully I will have gone down more.  I know this sounds weird, Traci, but I hope your numbers drop quickly too, so we can both start trying again :)

Traci,
I am so sorry for your lose. I have been there several times. I just want you to be very careful letting things go too long as you can get infections etc. I did the same thing my levels wouldn't go down and so dr. went ahead and did a D & C and I am glad that he did as he said that there was enough to clean up.

I don't want to scare you, but I want you to be aware of the risks to your body at this point. Especially since your cervix is open. I would HATE for you to get an infection.

My RE wanted me to give it two weeks from the ultrasound where it had lost the heartbeat. So, he is watching me closing and I have a list of things to watch for (fever, etc). So, I have passed the big things. My levels would take a while to come down because they had to come down from a huge number as I was 8 1/2 weeks. I just passed things on Sunday so they said it should be another week before the numbers would be close to zero. So, I go back next Thursday and if they are not completely gone, they will do exam and possibly schedule a D&C if needed.

Thanks!
Traci

Sorry to hear this. I know my hubby would say something like that too. Personally, he would get hit for it, but it would be his way of making me feel better.
