Words that anyone struggling to conceive hates to hear
Oh, my point???.......DUH? Sorry.......
Yes, you are overthinking things. No reason to give up or think negative. There are lots of people who TTC for MUCH longer. And have positive outcomes. And try to not let your sis's situation cloud your thoughts about yours. Good Luck.........

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
I think most of the time when people say things happen for a reason, they are looking at a bigger "cosmic" or "spiritual" picture. They don't mean that the couple is going to divorce or something like that. I think they usually are coming from a mindset of believing that we are here on earth to be tested and develop our skills and good qualities. Often the thing that forces us to develop good qualities is a little thing we call adversity. Or in other words---bad things happen to good people. It forces us to ask hard questions, figure out what we really believe (if anything), and choose to still try to be good people or choose to harden our hearts and be resentful.
Having said that, when someone is in the midst of bitter suffering and mourning, they may not want to hear "things happen for a reason" because it sounds something like, "It's for your own good" and nobody ever wants to hear that. But if there is a God, and I believe there is, and if He is a loving Father, and I believe He is, then maybe He has designed a plan for all of us to be tested in unique ways that cause us to grow in really painful ways, but ultimately it will be for our benefit. Someone on Facebook just posted this recently.... "All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles have strengthened me..." -Walt Disney
When I say something like, "Everything happens for a reason" the last thing I want to do is cause more pain in an already painful situation. I just hope that the person can find some comfort in the big picture. It is probably good to remind us that often people are not ready for a big picture right away, if ever.
