Calling all crafty moms...........

I am searching for a FREE patterns or instructions for homemade baby sling/wrap. I looked a little on the web but didn't find anything that was little or "no sew". I can handle light sewing but not good enough to do anything fancy.

I remember months ago, a mom posting about slings she was making. Anyone have a good pattern, instructions or websire for me?

Thanks in advance!

I think it was Rachel that made her own - I'll see if I can find out.  I have a Nojo baby sling that was given to me, but I don't like or use.  If it's anything you'd like, just PM and I'll send it to you.  I've been using the Moby Wrap, which seems like it would be VERY easy to make if you're at all crafty: http://www.mobywrap.com/

I think it was Rachel as well, because I had been asking.  I made one and hate it so I don't bother using it.

Here is a pretty simple one I found online. My niece had a friend make me one for my baby shower. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to use the darn thing. She said it can hold a toddler up to 40ish lbs... who in the hell wants to cart a toddler around in one of those?? LOL

It was me!  I made both a wrap and a sling.  Honestly I love both but if you are wanting a little to no sew option I would go for the wrap.  All you have to do is head to walmart and go through their clearance fabric.  Choose a heavy knit that will give you just a little stretch.  The amount you buy depends on your measurements.  You want enough to be able to cross around your body several times.  On average when I make one for friends I use about 6 yards.  Cut it lengthwise down the middle and voila you have one wrap for you and one for a friend or for a backup!

Here a link for how to wrap it and use it :)

I have a sling, something fancy you wrap all around you. Someone gave it to me as a gift and I never used it, I did look it up online and it was expensive. It's in the car in my good will bag, if you want it I will dig it out and send it to you...NO CHARGE! Or if you want me to check the brand I can let you know tomorrow. Sounds like you want to make one but thought I would offer anyways.
