Hi Ladies!
I ask this every few months and here I am again... what do you/did you feed your baby when they were about 7 month old? How much formula/feeding times etc. I am planning on starting to feed him 3 meals a day - because you know he is skin and bones. LOL

Josiah went to the doctors last week and he weighed in at 22.8 lbs.  He is solid as a rock. I am not feeding him a ton and have no idea how he is gaining all that weight. He only eats baby food, formula and puffs on an occasion.

I have a bunch of pictures from our vacation in VT and will post some later on.

TIA!
Erika

Hi Erika!!

Wowzers you got yourself one healthy little boy
Libby is a little over 8 months and last week she weighed in at 16lbs 10oz.  She has always been on the small side though.  We are still only feeding her food 2 times a day but then I usually sit her in her highchair in the evenings while I am cooking and give her puffs, graham crackers, ritz crackers, etc.  She could probably eat a half a can of puffs if I allowed her to.  She is still only drinking 6oz of formula every 3-4 hours, cereal and fruit in the morning, 1 jar stage 2 dinner in the evening, and sleeping 8-11 hours at night.  I have given her 8 oz a few times because I only had the to-go packs of formula on me (4oz each) and one time she drank the whole 8 oz.  Probably about half the time she only drinks about 5 oz each sitting.

Can't wait to see pictures!

They ate 2 times a day (they still do).   We are moving to 3 times a day soon.   Dylan is a terrible eater, but Jack loves whatever.

6:30- Bottle
9:00 Breakfast-  Oatmeal or Cereal with a little fruit sometimes.  Generally, just oatmeal
12:30- Bottle
5:30-Bottle
6:30 Dinner-  Fruit or Veggie or both.  Sometimes a little cereal
10:00- Bottle

They just started eating those puff things a week ago.

I don't think the twins are the norm eaters especially since we didn't start them on solids until 6 months old.

RNY on 12/14/04 with
Aethyn is a little over 8 months and weighs about 18 lbs....This is what he gets:

Wake up-6-8 oz bottle
Plays a little
Nap
Noonish 1 Jar Veggies and 1/2 Jar Fruit Or 1 Jar Veggie and a meat (And some Yogurts melts and Puffs or a cracker)
Plays a little
Nap
4ish-6 oz bottle
6:30-Oatmeal or cereal (with 2 oz formula mixed in) and 1/2 Fruit (And some Yogurts melts and Puffs or a cracker)
Plays a little
Bath
8 or 8:30ish he has a 4-6 Oz bottle
Bed

We are thinking of starting his oatmeal and fruit in the morning and then doing an extra veggie/fruit or veggie/meat in the evening to replace that meal.

We started Aethyn on solids around the 4 month mark because of his spitting....we have always had to thicken it for him so most of the time I have to add a little rice to he veggies or oatmeal to his fruit also.  It has to be pretty thick for it to stay in his belly.  Aethyn is also a restless eater...not picky....but he is just a fussy eater.

Sounds like your little guy is doing just fine!

Because Elijah was hungry (he was breastfeeding every 2 hours), constantly moving and burning everything off, the pediatrician suggested we try him on pureed foods when he was just four months old so he's a little ahead of many of the other babies as far as foods.  He took right to it and still loves to eat--he is soley on formula and finger foods now because he wants to do it ALL by himself.  I think this was his schedule at 7 months:
6:00 bottle
7:30 oatmeal, pureed/smashed/bits of mushy fruit, toast
9:30 bottle
12:00 green veggie, egg yolks or mashed beans
2:30 bottle
4:00 yogurt, puffs, avacado
5:00 sometimes breastfed
5:30 orange veggie, fruit
7:00 breastfed
We progressed and changed everything starting around 8 months
