Looking for a recipe - Gerber Yogurt Melts
Hi ladies! I haven't been around much lately because Libby keeps me pretty busy. I was just sitting here at work reading emails and got a monthly update from Gerber about Libby being 8 months old. WOW!! It has a mention of Gerber Yogurt Melts in it and it made me wonder if I could make my own. I make my own baby food and yogurt for Libby, so why not yogurt melts? I know there are quite a few Moms out there that make their own food, as well. Do any of you happen to have a recipe for yogurt melts? Or any other dry snacks that Libby could suck down? She LOVES graham crackers and now the Gerber puffs (now that she can figure out how to get them in her mouth since they are so small).
TIA :-)

I certainly do :-) I learned from a friend that grew up in Iran and Greece and they do it over there. Then, I got a yogurt maker as a wedding gift :-)
Here are really good directions.

I mix plain yogurt in with fruit (applesauce, pureed peaches, bananas, etc) for Libby. Just don't do prunes! The after math is bad!!!

I wish!!! Quade LOVES these things. We started giving them to him when he was on an antibiotic. Its amazing that there are live cultures in there, plus they taste just like yogurt! My whole family is alwys sneaking them off of his tray. They are a little too pricey for that!
Let me know if you figure something out.
Quade loves saltines too, he will eat them as quick as I can give them to him. I sread a little laughing cow cheese on them sometimes, he makes a big mess but I feel like they are such worthless munchies for him without the cheese.
Quade tried cantaloupe last week and OMG, he is an oinker!

Homemade yogurt? Nope, doesn't smell. It is pretty much just boiled milk and then you add a small amount of plain yogurt in it for the cultures (or you can buy the cultures at a health food store). It is super good for them and doesn't have all of the added crap that the store bought stuff has.

i found these online... im sure its not what your looking for...but here it goes
I took and mixed plain Stonyfields yogurt, pureed pears and added cinnamon. I put small amounts on waxed paper on a cookie sheet and froze them. Then when frozen I put them in a bag in the freezer.
it looks like they are just freeze dried yogurt blobs
