24 weeks growth scan!

I have GD, so I have to go for a growth scan every month (not complaing!), and today was my 24 week scan! Baby is in the 96th percentile and has a HUGE head LOL I am so glad that I am having a c-section LOL Everything is measuring right on target for him, his heart looks great, and we saw him practice breathing, which was SOO cool! Cervix, which was a concern because of all my BH's, is measuring at a 5 still, so that is awswome too.

I think I might be able to relax just a BIT! LOL

Congrats on a successful appointment!
96th percentile - wow! I thought I was carrying a big one - as my lil one is in the 83rd and running two weeks ahead of schedule!

I make them big LOL After I had the trips the doc's told me that if I had gone full term they would have all been over 10 lbs!! That is WITH my GD completely under control, so I can't imagin what would happen if I was not careful!

I was wondering how they treat your GD after having gastric bypass... I think that is what you had... just wondering because I had GD with Lorelei but that is before I had gastric bypass and I am scared I will get it again since I still have 80 pounds to lose...

Nope, no bypass for me, I am a bander. I am completely diet controlled, I did have it with the triplets and really at this point we are just "assuming" that I have GD, since I never took the three hour test. When I failed the one hour (by one freaking point!), the doctor just threw in the towel and said that he was going to consider me a GD patient because of my past.

Congratulations on a great appointment, Courtney! Is the GD hard to control? Did you have it with the triplets?

The bigger the head, the bigger the brain, right? My OB told me the same thing with my 1st baby (I was 37 wks PG) and I swear the fear is what made the induction fail LOL.

The GD isn't really hard for me to control, but I am not even positive that I have it LOL I try to stick kind of close to the diet they gave me, but I go off plan every once in a while and my sugar still comes back in the normal range. I did have it with the triplets, but was told until I had already been admited to the hospital (where I spent 7 weeks), and since they totally controled my diet I had very few worries and it resolved itself as soon as I gave birth. I am hoping the same thing happens this time.

My son David had the biggest head I ever saw on a baby LOL I swear he was just over 4 lbs at birth and 3 lbs of it was his head LOL So now I am wondering if this baby is going to look like him, or if he is just going to share his big brothers big head LOL
