On the dot....
My body is definitely on the ball now with my period. I was wondering earlier this week when I would get my period after taking my nuva ring out. I started my period May 6th, I put my ring in at midnight on May 10th, took it out on midnight May 31st, which made 21 day from the start of the ring and 25 days from the start of my period. So last night at midnight (the start of my 29th day) I got my period, which would make my cycle 28 days long on the dot. Amazing!!! LOL
So far I like the nuva ring. Then again, I liked my patch, too, until I started getting abnormal pap smears. So lets hope my paps stay normal and the ring keeps working for me.
Just me babbling.

I got mine yesterday and I think it was only 32 days since the last one. For 20 years they were every 35-40 days and now they are getting closer. The weird thing is that I exercise a lot better at this time. I beat my mile yesterday on CD1. At least it explains the one pound gain on Monday. I wasn't expecting it until Sunday at the earliest so it was pretty much a week early.
I would not like 28 days....

You can take it out or leave it in for sex. The guy usually cannot feel it. Just don't forget to put it back in if you take it out! Also, I wouldn't take it out for sex the first month you use it, just to be on the safe side.

You leave it in during sex. I didn't feel it and DH didn't feel it either. It molds to the walls of your vagina and stays in place. They said there is a slight possibility it can come out during a bowel movement... but not likely. If it comes out and it is out for less than 3 hours, you can put it back in with no problems... if more than 3 hours, look at the website for the instructions for your options,

Just be careful with antibiotics, it seems that the Nuvaring is ultra sensitive to them and you need backup when taking them. I got pregnant this time with the NuvaRing in, and thought it was a fluke until I started talking to people about it and it seems everyone knew someone who got pregnant with the ring while taking antibiotics!
Geeze-o-man... I have been on a round of antibiotics for a sinus infection. It said on the bottle be cautious when taking BC pills.. nothing about the ring. I thought the antibiotics wouldn't affect if because they aren't ingested together. Wonder how that works since I started them right before my cycle and now during my cycle... do I still need to worry?
Yup, still worry and use back-up methods. I got pregnant on the ring when I was taking antibiotics for a bacterial infection (which we think were caused by the ring).
