can we take compazine for nausea? I have some leftover from when I had the stomach flu and was wondering if they were OK to take while pregnant - I know Zofran is and they are similar.

Thanks!

According to Safefetus.com it is a Class C.  Zofran is a Class B.

So, I would say no to Compazine.

No no no. I was told it is unsafe during PG. Can you call the OB?

I'm so sorry about the nausea. Are you out of Zofran? Phenergran is all right, but makes me loopy and sleepy. Are you making sure there's always something in your pouch? Oyster crackers were my best friend.

Hugs,

My husband is a nurse and he said this is also used on his psyc patients as an anto psychotic. Please never ever take any kind of medicine prescribed or otherwise unless YOUR doctor tells you you can. Unless you have sever hyperemisis and are dehydrated they really don't even want you taking the safer drugs like pheneragan (sp).

Morning sickness is usually gone by 10-12 weeks. I hope you feel better and I really hope you didn't take the compazine.

Thanks Ladies! I didn't take it - wouldn't without talking to the Dr, but I thought that I would ask here first!

I'm hanging in there - there are just times at work (mostly when I need to make a presentation or run a meeting with a customer) that I need something so that I can focus. I think that I have taken the zofran twice - I do tough it out and keep something in my pouchie all the time - cheese crackers and saltines are my friend! It is getting better though - I am almost 9 weeks and hope that it is one it's way out the door!

I just like to know my options ahead of time.

Thanks again!
