Bad Eating Day
Background: I had RNY GBS.
Yesterday was one of those bad eating days....I swear I ate like 2600-2800 calories...about 600 of them PURE junk food/empty calories. So far, my eating in pregnancy has been pretty good. During the first trimester, I kept my calories around 1800, and now I aim for 2000 during my second trimester. My nutritionist would approve my intake on most days--but NOT yesterday. In my mind, pregnancy is NOT an excuse to eat whatever I want, whenever I want. I'm fully aware that ONLY an additional 300 calories are needed during pregnancy....not a double serving of everything because I'm "eating for two."
That being said, I'm very disappointed in myself for eating such junk yesterday. It was a crap day as I had (yet another) laser treament on my feet and was in a pissy mood from all the pain. Today's a new day and I've already planned healthy meals for the day.

Don't beat yourself up like that!!! You are doing the best you can....and like you said, you are doing your best TODAY to eat better.

Paula easier said than done but don't beat yourself up, I do enough of that weekly when I eat poorly I think the good part of it is that we know we are doing poorly AND we know how to fix it!!
Sometimes indulging is not so bad! Just like me I ate way too many little powdered donuts the other day! So there ya go! We all do bad at some point!!

Don't beat yourself up at all. Just think of me if it happens again, I eat around 2500-3000 calories per day then I wonder why I am gaining 2 pounds a week. I use pregnancy as an excuse to eat a perfect example I gained 70 pounds last year with my daughter. I am 30 weeks and gained 42 pounds ALREADY. So dont feel bad for one day, someone always has a worse story. So smile! All you can do is let it go and try better today!
I was with you yestruday, cupcakes, smarties and dorito's made up most of my day yesturday! When I tried to eat a healthy dinner, I threw up and ended up drinking two glasses of chocolate milk. I feel like crap today, and I know it's because I ate so horribly yestruday. SO I am trying to change it up for today and get back on track.
Just pick yourself up and do better today, its the only thing we CAN do!
