Sad...and a question.

Hi All,

I posted on here last week that I might be miscarrying and I am. I am really sad, but I am doing OK. This is my second miscarriage and I didn't let myself get super excited when I found out I was pregnant this time. It is really encouraging that I was able to get pregnant without meds (I have/had PCOS) so I am happy to know that.

My question has to do with the bleeding. I am not bleeding a whole lot. I haven't even filled up one tampon. On the u/s the lining of my uterus had thickened so I thought I would be bleeding a ton. Do you think this means I might eventually need a D&C?

I'm so sorry you are miscarrying. My heart goes out to you! To answer your question, that doesn't necessarily mean you will need a D & C. Out of my 5 miscarriages, I *did* have one as you described. I bled very lightly for 3 days, then after that, it was a different story.  I ended up bleeding A LOT! Unfortunately, you probably have to play the waiting game for a bit. You should call your doc and see what they have to say. God bless you........I feel your pain.

I am so sorry that you are having to go through this.

As someone else said... you may just have to play the waiting game. Sometimes it takes a while for it to all come out. That being said, please, please be careful. Watch for signs of an infection and consult your doctor. You can always wait to the last minute to get the D&C.

Again, I am so sorry that you are going through this.

Prayers and hugs,
Victoria

Hi, I'm so very sorry you are going through this.

I've experienced two m/c, one required a D & C, the other didn't.  I'm not sure there is any one size fits all to this.  I would call the doctor to be safe.

Sending hugs.

I'm sorry for your loss. I also  wanted to let you know that you shouldn't be wearing a tampon, it could cause infection. I would wait to use one until you have your first period. Just trying to watch out for you.

I am so sorry - I have been there and done that too. I am also a PCOS girl. Sucks. When I had my miscarriage I bled lightly for about a week - than really heavy with all the tissue and blood clots for about 6 hours at the end, and some more clots the size of quarters the next day. After that it was back to panty liner bleeding for 2 more weeks.

My Dr. said no tampons because it can cause infection, pads only. After everything passed I healed on my own and did not require a D&C. I hope this is the case for you too, but check with your Dr.

I hope you are on the road to recovery soon!
