u/s in preparation for IUI...clomid question...

Injectibles and clomid together?  Hmmmm....I was hoping since they increased the clomid from 50 to 100 (even though I o'd last month) that maybe I'd get more than one folicle just to increase my chances...but guess not.  Not that I want to be come the competitor to octo-mom...but if I could get a few extra follies in there to increase the chances of at least one taking...that'd be good.

Yep...I had the same thing...spent the last week of my cycle feeling pg...then nothing.  I've been taking the evening primrose oil and drinking green tea (which I'm not crazy about), because Ann had said they increase CM...so we'll see.  The combo of everything's got to work one way or the other.  I know I haven't had a lot of trouble getting pg in the past...just staying that way...and they still don't know if it's strictly age, uterine lining, blood clotting problems. or a combo of the three...so they're just treating the two they can and dealing w/the age.

How are you feeling now?  Still hurling all day?

Actually today is the first day I have felt pretty good for quite some time! I am just appreciating today because I am sure it will all come back with a vengenious! 

Keep me posted. If you ever want to talk, send me a PM. I know how FRUSTRATING the IUI cycles are!! I had two mature follicles my first cycle and nothing. I had three mature follicles on cycle 2 and three. #2 negative then #3 was my BFP. So, it does work. They wouldn't let me get too many mature follicles becuase of chance of multiples. So, I had about 6 total on cycle #3 and he had me trigger earlier than normal so there would be only three.

I was really hot on Clomid. (temperature-wise, not hot as in smoking hot mama). That increased my nausea for a week or so. Drinking ice-cold water with a bit of lemon juice used to help.

Crossing everything for a sticky baby!

Thanks Jo.  I did notice I was hot and chalked it up to the drugs because I never get hot...I'm usually in the battle of the ACs w/my son turning them off as fast as he turns them on (it's 90 degrees 365 days a year here)...and lately I'm the one turning them on.

Hopefully I'll have good news in a few weeks.

How are you doing?  Are you sleeping when the baby sleeps?  Is Marie (Barone) helping out and watching the kids so you can rest?

Holly - with clomid I barely ever had any EWCM...with femara I had tons of it and got pregnant with it! I had no side effects from the femara. Infact when we are ready to try again, my ob is going to have a script recommended for me.

I miss Ann... however if you need to get ahold of her you can try facebook.

Clomid I had horrible side effects. I hope the best for you!

Thank you Sara.  I think I'll definitely talk to the dr re the Femara and/or injectibles if this cycle doesn't work...but hopefully that won't be necessary.  I did read online somewhere that if you know you're ovulating, you can always use a room temp egg white in place of the EWCM...but that just sounds nasty...'Honey, can you put this egg up my @#%!' How romantic. I don't think I'd ever be able to eat an egg again with a straight face...regardless of the fact I can't eat them anymore anyways.

I'm one of the dinosaurs out there who haven't signed up for facebook.  I tell myself every weekend I will...but I haven't.  One day I will get to it...I miss you, Ann and JenJen and some others who are now hanging out there more than here.
