Fat vs Pregnant.

Is there a difference between feeling fat and feeling pregnant or do you just feel fat when you're pregnant?

I've been looking forward to being pregnant for a long time but I don't miss feeling fat one bit! I hope there is a difference but if there isn't then I need to know now so i can mentally prepare :)

well the way I see it I won't be fat - I am pregnant so it isn't fat making me big but the miracle growing inside me! Of course I am 8 weeks now and my 30 weeks might be feeling differently! lol Also - this weight will be gone soon after the baby comes! IT is for a good reason this time

That's what im hoping for too! and ultimately it doesn't matter because whatever it feels like it will be worth it but i just get these questions in my head :)

Some days I feel fat and some days I feel pregnant.  When I am trying to roll around in bed and get comfortable, I feel fat.  But most of the time I don't have any of the same pains and feelings of being too big for my surroundings like I did pre op.  I don't know if that makes sense but I always used to feel like I was squishing into places and things and didn't fit.  Well except in the booth at Pizza hut today, my belly almost didn't fit!
I think for the most part there is a difference, and you won't feel fat.  But towards the end, you don't feel nearly as graceful as you did before pregnancy.

The only resemblances I had was you get pretty breathy (well I did anyway) as the bigger and bigger you get and I had that pre-op pretty bad, your feet swell pretty big (same as pre-op) and what Chrissy said :)

I think I was just so happy to be pregnant that I felt pregnant, not fat (for once LoL).  I think there's a difference :)  I think it's all in your mindset and I think if you stay positive, you'll feel preggo and not fat.  If all else fails, get a shirt like I had LoL...  it said "I'm fat because I'm pregnant, what's your excuse?"

*hugs*

This is my first post op baby, so I have to say it feels very different to me.

When I was pregnant before, frankly, I was fat.  So it wasn't until farther in the pregnancy that I looked and felt pregnant to the outside world, if that makes sense.

This time, I'm only 8 weeks along but since it's my third pregnancy, I started to show I think 5 minutes after I got pregnant LOL.  At the moment, I think I look like I'm putting my weight back on.  By the end of the day, I have a definable "bump" but to the outside world, I don''t think they would know unless I told them.

Am I feeling fat?  Sure.  It's hard not to after all those years of dealing with it.  However, it's a fabulous means to an end so I don''t care.  Plus, I can let my belly hang out now LOL.

It's all worth it.
