Bottles

Just wondering what your favorite brand of bottles are?  I saved all of my old ones, but don't want to take a risk with the BPA so I need some new ones.
And there are wayyy too many choices now, can't believe the selection!
Thanks,
Chrissy

The aire vent by playtex seem really nice. I know a few girls who whose them and really like them. It really helps with keeping gas bubbles out.

Just a warning about these, everyone I ever had, leaked! My sister and sister-in-law had the same problem with them.

Oh about the leaking.........this is just my experience, but I did do the Vent aire for a while and had a problem with leaking.  I found that it was very fixable for me.  All I needed to do was just wet the nipple and cap before putting them together and that created a suction/seal to prevent leaking.  I switched from Vent aire to Avent (which I explained in my other post) but Avent does the same thing with leaking..so I just moisten the nipple and if I do that I never have any problems at all.  :)

It's funny you should mention the choices.  It's been so long since I've been pregnant and we were looking at baby stuff over the weekend.  My 9 year old asked what kind I was going to use and I went all blank LOL.

The playtex ones (the angled ones) look like the ones I used with both of my kids - I liked the angle for keeping gas down, but I'll be curious to hear what people have to say.

One thing I do know - I hated those plastic drop in liners - do they even sell those anymore???

Will be watching this thread :)

I know, it is overwhelming!
I will check out the playtex ones.  I don't know if they still have those liners, they were a pain for sure.
Will let you know if I find any really good ones,
Chrissy

Yes they do have the ones with liners still...though I don't think many people use those.  I think they're a pain in the butt.

I hate plastic.  I know they say certain types are "safe" now.... but at one time BPA was safe too.

I really hesitate to give my baby anything (especially warm stuff) in plastic - even the ones with plastic liners.

So I bought two glass bottles.... I don't know if I will like them.  I hope I do and I hope they work for us....  if so I will buy more.  They were available at Wal-Mart and were a bit pricier... but I'd rather pay for something like that if there's a chance plastic ones can harm my baby.
