charting OPK question

Hi, on Friday (CD19), I thought I had a positive OPK (which was later than the last 2 months, CD 16 and CD 17), and then yesterday the test was negative. Now today, it looks positive again (More positive than Friday)... Usually I have a ramp up and then it goes away. So it seems weird. Could the O changed it's mind and therefore a second surge?

For charting should I note them both or just use todays +?

I'm also temping and have not yet had a high temp

Thanks for any help

I would chart it as positive today and wait for the temp rise to confirm it.
Good Luck

It is common for your opk's to fluctuate. It is usually recommended that if you have pretty regular o time to use the first +opk and then don't do any more opk, because you will drive yourself nuts. lol Do you want to give me the link to your chart? I can take a peak. It is in the sharing tab on ff hit the home page setup and then copy the link in the top box here. Shari

Hi, I think I got it? let me know if it doesn't work... If it doesn't I might have to play with it when I get home from work as I'm on lunch now :)    This was my 3rd month using OPKs and the 1st month temping and charting

I agree with Amy. Chart them both as a + and wait for that temp rise to confirm ovulation happened before you stop BDing. Like you said, our bodies can try to O (surge) but not quite make it. So this second surge is likely another attempt to O.

I just looked at your chart and I don't see o yet, so keep baby dancing. Also, do your opk's in the evening between 4-6 after not drinking for a bit and holding your urine. Most women get the best surge in the pm. For charting it can't hurt to note them both...FF program is set up to pick up both your surge and temp rise. Definitely keep bd until you see that confirmation. Also, you have an open temp...which means you temped at a different time of day?? That can throw off your chart a little too. And I don't see a temp for monday? Since it dropped back down I consider it a fluke and probably not o. Anyway, good luck. Keep us posted and you can pm me if you have questions. Shari
