Cracked (front) tooth?

I am almost 13 1/2 weeks pregnant.  One of my front teeth started hurting today.. I took a look and sure enough - it has a hairline crack all the way up.  Any idea what the dentist will do (if anything)?

They have to warn you about the novacaine but I have had novacaine with each pregnancy and I think it is ok. It is such a small amount and when our bodies break it down it is always possible that some might not filter through the placenta. For a crack they can either bond it which I HIGHLY recommend NOT doing or they can put a cap on it $550 at my dentist and it is what I would do and did do. With the bonding it will come off every 6 months. You can't bite your nails or floss good. The cap is your best choice. Good luck!! I hope you have insurance LOL. I have Delta and it paid for all but $50.

WOW, Thanks Jennifer.  I have had 1 cavity my entire life, so other than cleanings I have had very few dealings with dentists.  I will give them a call in the morning!
