pain
Lately when ever I eat I end up not feeling good. I'm not dumping, believe it or not in the 2 years since I had surgery I have not dumped. No matter what it is, my stomach feels bloated all the time, always feeling like I want to puke, gassy, heartburn and upper/middle back pain. I have not seen my surgeon in a long time. Should I call him or my primary or am I just being a baby? I always just tough it out, I feel like I am wasting thier time or they won't believe me.
Has anyone had any of these symptoms?

Hey There....
I am like you and tough it out.....but it sounds like you should not tough this out....how long have you been feeling this way? What kinds of foods? Do you still have your gallbladder? I had to have mine removed before surgery but I had those same symptoms....it was horrible....and spicy and acidic foods were horrilble...they either thought it was either an ulcer or gallstones....did an US and gallstones were as big as a golf ball and blocking my liver....I had surgery that week....
If that is not it, I suggest you get in and not tough this one out....maybe see your PCP first....
Hugs,
Ann

Hi Amy. I understand completely how you feel. I am not pregnant nor do I plan to be but I love this board and I wanted to give you my outlook on what may be happening.
I had the same issue that you are having and I went to my surgeon and he did a scan of my gallbladder. I had small stones in my gallbladder and one big one that was stuck in my common bile duct. My suggestion to you is that you go to the Dr. and let them run the tests. It sounds like that is what happening to you. Please have it checked out because you will need surgery to fix it. The longer you wait, chances are your stones will get bigger which can cause the bile not to drain properly and can eventually lead to damage to your intestines and liver.
I hope this helps. Ill keep you in my prayers and thoughts. God Bless you. Please keep us posted. Take care.

Thank you ladies! I am thinking it may be my gall bladder. I know I have stone because 2 summers ago when I had a CT scan for my kidneys they saw stones in my gall bladder. I was told that as long as I wasn't bothered by them then just leave it alone. I called and made an appt. with my surgeon but since I haven't seen him in over a year I have to wait until Sept. 8th.
I am also tired, miserable and loosing my hair big time. I see my OB on the 18th, so I am hoping maybe he can help me with that.
UGH!!!! I have a 5 month old, I can't be feeling like this.
Thanks again!!!!

No personal experience here, but I agree with the pp's that you should see a dr. Do you really want to wait until the 18th? That seems like an awfully long time to be suffering! If it helps, I'm losing my hair now too and am going to get it cut tomorrow. Sucks! I hope you feel better soon and get some answers.

I think you should go before the 18th....if it is gallstones they hurt like hell and can get worse....I have never had a heart attack but felt sharp pains during one of my gall bladder attacks and it was HORRIBLE.....also, you may want to try eating bland right now.....I thought I was better one time after the attack and had Mexican and thought I was going to die....no spicy or acidic foods or it will keel you over.....please reconsider going before the 18th...
