Hi Jo!
Well, you already know how I feel about them - it gave me many hours of sleep, because it was one of the only places Josiah would sleep when he was 'little'. This is the one he has but it is discontinued.

Hi Erika,

After your suggestion, I checked Craig's List and that one you linked has already been purchased (boo), so I'm going to purchase new.

Everett had a tough night but finally slept as long as I held him belly to my belly and swayed side-to-side while standing. At that point I would have paid anything for the cradle swing LOL

Thanks for the angel monitor link too!

We had a great time yesterday! Did Josiah fall asleep right away? Emma loved you too and has named her new Barbie "Erika".

Hugs,

Emma was just too sweet!

Josiah was asleep by the time we got to Elm Hill Farms. I took Rt. 7 all the way home so he could get a longer nap. He actually took another nap when we got home from about 5-6pm and went back to bed around 8:30. I will be glad to get him back on a somewhat normal routine.

Sorry to hear Everett had a tough night. I swear by the cradle swing. If it wasn't for that - I would have gone insane.

I just found this cradle swing @ Walmart. I don't know if they have it there but you could definitely order it online. It on clearance because they are discontinuing this line.

That swing you posted from craigslist, do you know if it's a good one?  I just bought the same exact one for $15 from a friend's garage sale and will need to get a second swing - so just wondering if it's worth it to get two of them or not.  :)  I saw a papasan type at the consignment shop the other day for $30 and should have picked it up.  It was a "travel" type so it was low to the ground but I'm ok with that.  Hmmmm....

Thanks!!

Fisher-Price Papasan Cradle Swing - My Little Lamb
The only thing is that I wi**** had an option of being able to plug it in instead of having to change batteries, but I love it.

BTW, I sent out the baby wrap outfit.

Jo,

Great post.  I'm not much use with recommendations but I was wondering the same thing.  They are very expensive if they don't work but priceless if they do!
My DS HATED the front and back type swing.  It was the exact opposite of that old McDonald's commercial where the baby would get so happy everytime it swung front because it could see the McDonald's sign.  Mine would scream and do the reflex with the extended arms everytime he swung front.  Poor bebe.
