New here...help with baby weight!
Hello all,
I am new here so this may have been discussed already and I apologize if I missed the posts. I had lap RNY Feb 2007, down 105 pounds at one year surgiversary and got pregnant shortly after.
I gained quite a bit of weight during the pregnancy, I honestly stopped looking at the scale and asked my Dr. not to tell me, because I couldn't think I could handle it. So...my guess is I gained somewhere between 55-75 pounds with him. He is very healthy and wonderful....but I am now stuck with what I have done to myself. He just turned 7 months old and I can't believe I am still carrying around some of the weight.
I am following the South Beach Diet, formula feeding, taking spin classes as well as walking on the treadmill and using the eliptical. I shoot for 4-5 times a week, but some weeks are inconsistent. I am down to 180 now...but started the pregnancy at 150. I'm 5"4 and very happy at 150, although not tiny I am in a size 8/10 then. I really want to get back into all the new clothes I bought before I got pregnant, but I seem stuck. It just isn't budging.
Now, I have noticed that one rule I break seems to be more important than I realized! I drink when I eat. So, starting tomorrow that is coming to an end (I'm out of the country and it is bedtime here for me now). Has anyone else noticed a big change when they stopped breaking that rule?
Also, any other advice about how you got the baby weight off would be greatly appreciated! I really want to get this 30 pounds off. I am starting to feel like a WLS failure.

Make sure you are getting enough calories with all those workouts... and toss in a little light weight training too...
But, how many carbs are you getting in and protein... track that as well if you haven't... it might help you get that weight off...
I know many here have been through what you have and might have more advice for you than me...
Good luck!
