Way OT: Article about Generic drugs vs. Name brand drugs
Just thought this was interesting and I know a lot of people on this forum take generic prescriptions. Check it out. http://www.self.com/health/2009/06/dangers-of-generic-drugs
right but many issues people have in taking generics are just the fillers. generally the formula is exactly the same and then fillers.
I have no issue with generics. My insurance only covers generic unless I have to have a name brand and then it costs me more. those without insurance coverage or good insurance coverage are screwed by drug companies that demand an arm and a leg for name brand.
so who is really to blame?

MOST, not all, generics are made with the same formular the name brands are. In fact, some are made on the same machines. The only difference is a filler, a die, or the shape in most cases. There are some generics that will throw people for a loop. I know I MUST have Syntroid and not a generic thyroid med. When I was on the generic I was sick most of the time from it. I also know I have been on generic BC more than I was on name brand. I am still childless after 5+ years of regular sex.
Side note. I am on the generic for Wellbutron XL and what I am on is not what was mentioned.

OK, just did a quick search for what the person in the article was switched to. It's actually a "name brand" that I guess is cheaper than Wellbutron. It's not really a generic. Strainge I know but that's what I found.
