But I thought I'd better introduce myself here.

My 2nd year surgiversary is this August and I just found out this morning, or actually thursday morning, that I am pregnant!

So far I feel great. The only thing is that I'm really tired but somehow can't sleep hence the 3am post. I blame it on excitement more then anything.

My first appointment is on June 18th. I don't know how much I trust those little pee tests so I'm tempted to go out to some free clinic to get a blood test that will confirm that I'm REALLY pregnant before I make a fool of myself on that first appointment or get my hopes up too high.

I should be at least 4 weeks along and I know i need to start taking folic acid and prenatals. Is there any brand that is easy to swollow or chewable? I still have a hard time swollowing large pills and the only ones i've seen out there are huge horse pills which I would have to cut several times. I'll do it if I have to but it's a pain so I thought I'd ask! :)

Congrats :)

The pee tests are good enough - don't waste your money.  If you have a positive, you are pregnant!!!!

Hopefully someone has good advice on the pre-natals.  At the minimum take some extra folic acid in the meantime - those pills are very small.

Congrats!! I used to see you on the Texas board or something!! I just take the regular prenatals twice a day. Thought I would have a hard time with them but I dont. I just take them alone a few hours after the calium. I have insomnia  so I know the AWAKE feeling!! :) Hope all goes well this 9 months!!

Yeah Cristy - I'm glad you took my advice and decided to join this board - WELCOME!
You will receive a vast amount of information on this board (I'm not sure I would've gotten past week 8 without it, haha - seriously!)

As for prenatals - I was taking 2 Onesource brand (that I found at Walmart) daily. But as of last week, I went to get another bottle and am unable to find it anymore. So I switched to Women's One-A-Day Prenatal. They aren't bad.

Good luck and here's to a happy and healthy 9 months! If you need an angel - let me know!

I just got distracted w/a phone call and almost forgot to tell you...welcome and congrats!  I know there have been some women who've mentioned chewable pre-natal vits.  If you don't get a response in this post about it, they might not have seen it...so maybe do another post specifically asking about them (w/the title being about chewable pre-nats...)

I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.
