Im so exited finally pregnant after all these years thanks to gastric bypass!!

I suffered with PCOS all my life I did not have a menstral period for 8 years. When I was 25Now Im 30 my husband and I went through fertility treatment that failed so in 2007 I started planning gastric bypass surgery and in June of 2008 I had the surgery I was 282 pounds before surgery and now Im a 158 pounds and feel wonderful. 2 months after surgery I got my menstral on my own and I have been regular every month since than so when I missed my period may 16th I decided to take a pregnancy test I could not believe my eyes I thought the test was defective LOL so I went and bought 3 more different brands and all came out positive I went to the doctor to confirm it and yipeeeeeee the test was right im actually pregnant Im 6 weeks along now and praying every single day that everything goes well Im counting the days to get to the 12 week mark because they say miscarriage is much less likely by then. I never thought I could get pregnant especially on my own its truly a miracle to me I Know if it was not for surgery this never would be rite not I thank god everyday for what hes given me. I go for my first ultrasound June 18th I cant wait Im so exited! I went to my surgeon and let him now I was pregnant and hes says all my bllod work and vitamin levels are great the only thing I have to do now is go for b-12 shots once monthly until the baby is born. Im sorry Im babbling on I cant help it Im so filled with exitement.

Your story sounds just like mine....plus 10 years on age and 100 pounds...lol Congratulations. I know how wonderful it feels to see that positive test thinking it will never ever happen to you....especially after fertility treatments. The girls here are great!
