You need more calcium! Lots more! Your total should be at least 2000 mg per day. Two calcium citrate just isn't going to do it.

Make sure you get your labs drawn every other month to make sure things are good. Good luck!

I am on regular prenatals. I have a pill splitter and I cut them in half and take them that way.

As far as the dizzyness. Were you preggers before this started? I know you said it happened before you found out. I know I have vasovagal syncope (BP drops and I pass out) and it's a slight concern for when I get preggers. I have the same symptoms for when the BP drops.

Good luck,

Yeah it got worse once I got pregnant but I didn't know I was pregnant until recently so I just thought it was the altitude ..sorry if I didn't explain myself very well.

I did have dizziness before I got pregnant but not this bad and I have never passed out.

I would have your BP checked out. That's what it sounds like. I know the doctor that did a test on me said they are starting to see more and more of the vasovagal after WLS. It could also be the altitude. I know I went to WY and UT last year on vacay and got sick there. Try upping your water and try to increase your salt intake just a little.

I honestly don't know. If you weren't preggers I would say as long as you stay upright (not passing out) you should be good until then.

Forgot to tell you. There are chewable vites but I don't take them since I have a sweetener allergy and there are sweeteners in the chewables.

Hey Christy we have the same due date and the same symptoms!!! I'm getting really dizzy alot and I know it's from not getting in enogh to eat so just today I've started to work on that. I just found out yesterday that I was pregnant so my pcp put in my ob referral but in the meantime she prescribed me prenatals today so I'll have to see how big they are when I pick them up. I'm still trying to work out an eating plan that will keep me full enough between meals so that I don't get dizzy and also I've been have god-awfull gnawing hunger pains. Hopefully we'll learn from some of the others on here some great tips on things to help make our pregnancies the healthiest they can be.

How exciting!

You might be right about the eating .. I haven't been very hungry this past month and I've lost 5lbs. My weight had been stable for over 8months before. I ate better today even though i still don't really feel like it. Eating just makes me feel uncomfortable right now but I know i have too. I was already eating very well before I got pregnant and now I feel like im back at the beginning where I didn't really crave anything and everything I ate felt like a stone in my stomach.

Congrats on your pregnancy and good luck!
