carrying low?
The hip thing is due to a hormone called, appropriately enough, relaxin. It helps "relax" ligaments...ligaments hold your bones "together"...so this allows your bones to separate during birth to widen the birth canal so the baby can pass.
Everything else I can't answer cause I haven't "been there done that"...the relaxin thing I remember from nursing school :)
Enjoy feeling weird, I guess!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
I have heard about the relaxin but I thought it was for your stomach muscles. Makes sense that it's for everything though. Oh well... it's just weird to stand up and have your hip pop!
I have wide set hips already (I have a very large frame) and I was kinda hoping they were wide enough already! LOL.... guess not.

Elijah was extremely active and he loved nothing more than to turn feet down and kick repeatedly off my cervix (that's what it felt like anyway). the tap dancing could take my breath away and make me stop whatever I was doing. I really thought he was going to kick his way out. I'd get some relief when my husband or I lifted/pulled him up from under my belly. When I asked the doctor if he had any other suggestions, he said "Don't say that out loud or the baby will hear you and do it more." Ha ha ha. He'd eventually flip head down or sideways and kick sometheing else of equal senstivity.
