I just found out I am pregnant today too... I am only 5 1/2 months out, so I am kinda scared. And my husband was only home for 2 weeks for his R and R from Iraq.. and I was on birth control.... how does THAT happen?

First of all Congratulations on your pregnancy! I know it probably is scary for you though, so ((HUGS))
The pill doesn't absorb as well with a bypass. So it often doesn't work as well as before surgery. I used the ring in the past but I guess the ring even doesn't work too well if you are over a certain weight (I don't remember what the weight was? I think 200lbs? Someone can correct me, cause I'm sure I'm probably wrong).
There are quite a few ladies here that have gotten pregnant early post-op and they've gone on to have healthy pregnancies and babies. You definitely aren't alone! Welcome!

Thank you so much everyone!!!  I am so excited and scared....it feels unreal.  Like there is so much to do and how will I know what all to do, etc.  And what if something happens, I am not trying to think like that though.

ALthough I guess one symptom I do have...not being able to poo....oh vey, not being regular is not a good thing for me!  Grrr.

And I am so excited, scared and nervous I can't sleep....I was up at 6:30 this morning!!!  I hope a nap is in my near future!

Thanks again everyone!!
