Pregnant brain thoughts.....

I have to say that the mind while pregnant is a very scary place. I've been feeling pretty good the last couple of days. Like, not nearly as exhausted as I have been. So, of course I'm assuming something is wrong. It's ridiculous.
I'm continuing to hold my breath when I go to the bathroom. It's nuts. I can't imagine all this worrying is good for anyone, but I don't know how to stop it.
I don't have much in the way of morning or other sickness, really haven't had much at all, so that isn't much comfort.
The only constant I have is my boobs - they still freaking hurt, but then I think - could that stay that way even if things have stopped developing?
AARGH. I know this is all crazy, but with my history of miscarriages, and the bunch that have happened on the board, I'm making myself nuts. I figure that I will hit my second Trimester on the 4th of July - which seems awfully far away, you know?
I don't even have an OB appointment until June 18th which irritates me too. I would like to share my insanity with the doctor at the very least.
Please tell me I'm not alone!

Don't feel alone.
I am constantly that way and I don't think it's going to stop until my little one is safe in my arms and then all the other worrying starts.
I too am a constant tp checker. It gets worse b/c (atleast for me) my vaginal discharge increased big time and (apparently it's normal... I made them check) everytime I feel the least bit 'wet' I am rushing off to check.
I would say that we are paranoid. But after everything we have been through personnally and then watching everyone else have to go through our worst fears... it keeps it in the foreground. (not that I blame anyone)
I don't know how far along you are, but trimester changes didn't do much to comfort me. The only comfort I get is when I feel him move, and then I freak that it's not enough. I wish that I had some kind of advice to help, but all I can offer you is comraderie.
Good luck managing this insanity!

Sharon,
You are not alone, I was quite scared at first with my pregnancy with Bryson because of my recent loss. If you're that full of anxiety though, you should contact your doctor's office and let them know. Perhaps they can get you in sooner or help you do something to manage your stress. That's not good for you or baby. BIG HUGS!

You're not alone. After my first m/c...when I got pg again...I'd exam my underwear, the toilet paper...everything...twisting it in the light just to see if there was a hint of pink. Unfortunately, eventually there was, for a total of 3 mc's...and I know that when/if I get pg again...even with my new drug regime...I will make myself insane doing the same thing. Once you've had a m/c, I think the bathroom inspection is the new 'normal.'
Hang in there...and until you start noticing other symptoms, etc...hold on to the breast discomfort as a sign that things are still progressing normally.
Hope July 4 gets here soon for you...and that you're able to enjoy your pregnancy after that, w/o the stress and worries of a m/c.

Sharon! How did I miss that you were pregnant, girlfriend?? Okay, well first CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Did this come about when you were having issues, was this a surprise? Sorry to be nosey, you really do not have to answer my questions!
Anyway, take a deep breath! Of course you're worried, we all do that! From conception on, all I have done with my three kids is worry. I hate waiting for that first OB appointment.....WHY don't they want to see you the minute you're pregnant? Makes no sense and feels a world away when they blow you off and schedule you weeks on end away from the day you call them! I remember it all soooo well!! (And my youngest will be four this week...I remember so much about my pregnant days!!!)
I really just had to stop in and say congrats honey! I wouldn't have even seen this if I hadn't been on my OH page, I'm really glad I saw it! What wonderful news! Have you told your kids?
Let me know how things are going!
xoxo,
Lori

LOL you are funny. I haven't outed myself on the DS board just yet but I do rant away over here!
Total surprise and yes it did happen during all the trouble with the cysts, etc. My cycles went screwy and bang (pun intended).
The kids know, I really didn't have a choice since I was stuck home for a few days when they were concerned about tubal preg - so I had to come clean. Everyone is happy but very cautious. Another month or two and I think we'll all feel better.
Thanks for checking in on me tho :)

Sharon - I still hold my breath as I wipe in the bathroom.... even feeling him move and knowing he's in there I still worry.
But I think your doc might get you in earlier if you tell them your fears. I know mine allowed my monthly ultrasounds to continue after the 20 week point just to make me feel better.... they really suspected the baby would grow fine, but humored me!
I have had an u/s every 4 weeks this whole pregnancy.... very reassuring.
July 4th will come sooner than you think!! I know I celebrated my 2nd trimester too.... although it didn't ease the worry all the way!

Sharon, I have never had a miscarriage and I did the same thing--always checking when I went to the bathroom, always terrified that it would end. So being that you have had miscarriages, I think you're doing very well. I wish I could make it better, but I have no answers. You are definitely not alone though. I know that for sure. Most of us feel/felt that way I think. Hugs
I've been like that for the last week. I feel like my symptoms have decreased also. I am lucky I have a doctors appt next week but can hardle wait!
I'm so scared something has happened. I heard the heartbeak about 2.5 weeks ago and keep telling myself that everything is fine but it's not helping. I love this board and everyone on it but it can be deficult when you are reading about all the misfortunes and still trying to stay positive about your own.
Anyway.... you are sooooo not alone!!!!
