Oh my goodness what a beautiful baby! Congratulations and thank you for sharing your story.
We'd done our childbirth classes and were expecting to go in and do some labor, then pain management with the epidural. My daughter had other ideas though. She was faster than Elvis exiting the building! LOL
Next birth, I now know, I probably won't need the epidural, but I definitely would like the dang Stadol shot, at least! She happened so fast, we didn't get to call anyone other than my friend Ronda, for her to start the phone notifications for us, that we were at L&D. We called her grandma as soon as she was born (since she's in FL).
My husband ROCKS! He stayed calm throughout, and I'm pretty sure there were times I went a little wild eyed, because I could feel myself starting to go "over the edge", but he helped me maintain, even through the intense all over body shakes (which heralded each contractions arrival)! LOL
He did get a good laugh when the nurse came back in and told us the epidural was pending, because of the C-Section. At that point I KNEW we were going 100% natural, and looked at him between a contraction and said, "Well, crap, we're doing this all by ourselves, all natural. This kid hates me."
Ray did good.. I think she's just a doll. Told him, "Okay, now next time.. think BOY!"

I am definitely thinking boy for next time - well if there is a next time. I will see how the next one is...Nylah is fabulous she has slept through the night since 3 months old and been walking since 9 months I couldn't ask for a better baby, I hope the next one gives me a little break too. If so we will try for the boy. Congrats tho - I had PPD but you sound happy which is great!! They did offer me stadol but after the birth - I refused because I figure if I got her out then I was fine with no meds....
Thanks, Beth and everyone!
We're all doing very well, and I'm slowly catching up on sleep with help from daddy. He's been wonderful about changing, feeding and housework. Even dealing with mom sitting there because I go completely blank and can't remember what I was saying or going to go do. LOL

Was all happening so fast, to me, because of how hard the contractions were coming, and so fast, the 2 1/2 hours, seemed like it was way less.. though at the time, sometimes it seemed a second would go on forever. Usually when the full body shakes started right before the contraction. =)
