What is weight loss like after a baby

OK considering that its time for me to have a baby. But I'm so TERRIFIED that once I get pregnant and gain weight for the baby that I wont be able to lose it and I'll be fat again for the rest of my life.

I worked so hard to get to the weight that I am, I'm afraid that I want to put off pregnancy because I'm enjoying my new body so much and afraid of weight gain.

Anyone else have those fears
Anyone else lose the weight again after having a baby or babies

I'm so concerned that I am looking into surrogacy as well as adoption.

Thanks

Niko is eight months old and I still lose a lb per day if I'm not careful. We ALL had these fears. Your tool is still there--you just have to use i after the baby.

Nope, you are SO not alone!  I had the exact same thoughts and then felt "bad" about feeling that way...it took me a bit to be ready to think about getting pregnant.

You will lose the weight, you know how and it will be ok!

Like Angie said....we still have the tool...we have to use it....on that note....

I never got to goal :( but was very happy with where I got losing 170 pounds.....

I got married at my lowest weight

Within 6 months of marriage I gained 35 pounds :(

I got pregnant....gained another 27

Had a baby.....lost the 27 pretty fast....

Still have to lose the 35 that I gained between wedding and pregnancy....ugh!

Thanks EVERYONE, yeah I'm just a bit tired of people (not you guys) who say or hint that I took the easy way out by having surgery and why didnn't I just commit to a gym and eating more salads. UGH, its like been down that road and it didn't work. And my family knows that surgery was the last thing I wanted to do.  That even before being wheeled in, I almost chickened out of it because of fear and its risks.

Now everyone tells me once I have a baby, say good bye to my new body and welcome back being fat.  Its like a mental game they play with me. Sometimes it works, it creeps in on me.

(hugs) to everyone.
I'm looking into Invitro at the moment due to the fact I am single and do not want to wait to start a family any longer.

will keep ppl updated on my progress

In my opinion, weight loss after baby is exactly the same as before baby.  Just as hard or easy, depending on your perspective.  We all had those fears.

I gained 50 lbs with my baby even being just 4 months post-op when I got pregnant.  Luckily, I lost 42 of those lbs within 2 weeks.  It's my own fault for not losing the last 8!
You'll do fine.  If it's your mind-set to lose the baby weight, you will!

Good luck!
