I never could get a regular sling to work and make me feel comfortable.  Two babies and I never used the one I had all along.  Then with this 3rd I found that the kids school schedule made it impossible to go without one.  So I dragged it out and hated it.

Then one magical day I saw another mom at the preschool wearing a different kind of sling.  She is plus sized like me and looked confident and comfortable.  I just got mine in the mail two days ago so I've only used it once but so far I love it.  No sliding rings or adjustments that require an engineering degree.  Just slips over and holds strong.  My nearly 4 year old even took it for a try (he's under the weight limit but did it for fun and to see if it was a quality product.)

My order came with a coupon if you decide to go that way.

I bought the Moby sling and have not yet figured it out. Glad to know I'm not the only one *challenged* in this area.
I like the one you selected. Does it give Samuel a lot of support, or do you keep your hand on it to support him? And how's everyone doing? I've missed your posts!

I'm really excited about this sling.  We were at a softball game and I used it there so I was sitting mostly, but didn't feel like I HAD to hold him when I got up to move around.  The old ring type sling I have, I always had to hold on him to feel secure.  Sammy wasn't loving it with facing forward (kangroo carry) but loved facing me.  I'm sure his preferences will change as I use it more and he grows.  If you look up "peanut shell sling" on youtube there's alot of instructional vidoes to show how it's used.

Life is still quite a bit topsy turvey here.  I remember with Lucas (#2) it was about 9 months before I felt like life was "normal" and in control again.  I guess I was thinking the 3rd time around I would adjust faster but it's kind of the opposite.  The school schedules of the boys (they're in different schools so 2 different schedules) REALLY conflict with Sammy's.  I'm always thankful when the weekends come so I don't have to worry about where his naps/meals are due.  Only a few more weeks before summer vacation.  I better have it all figured out by September.  LOL

We got the Moby D sling.  My spouse is 6'3" and I'm 5'4".  The sling is so soft and versatile, and so far, Caitlin has been happy as a clam in the skin to skin Kangroo style with dad.  It's super easy to use too.

I love that it can convert to like 8 or 9 different holds, fits both me and Ray, and will hold Caitlin up to 35 lbs (makes it super easy to do all the Central Valley faires and camping/hiking).
