DH lost his job

Now what?  He's been looking for a new one for some time now.  They kept cutting his hours or sending him home early.  So he hasn't been getting full paychecks for a few months.  He just (like Saturday) filed a partial unemployment claim to try and compensate for the hours he was missing.  Well the paperwork came in the mail today... and low and behold, his employer let him go today.

So now, I don't know what we are going to do.  I mean, of course he is going to file his UE claim and keep looking for a job.  So thankfully, we still have my daycare income, and my waitress income.  I also receive $350 in child support, but that is basically negated by the $385 going out.  (they reduced it from $440)

I am continuing to look, too.  Although, I am not having much luck.  I was planning on just riding it out until the end of summer when the kids are back in school.  My daycare job will be ending when school starts.  They are enrolling the middle one in preschool and it is more economical to enroll all 3 in the daycare and less wear and tear on me trying to transport the 3 yr old 3 days a week.

So basically, if you could just keep us in your thoughts and prayers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Hugs
B

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry! Of course you are all in my prayers. When in the midst of things, it's scary and feels so out of control. I'm hoping that his being let go and this door closing is actually another door opening, you know?

Hugs,

I'm sorry Bridget - I'll pray that something comes along soon for both of you.  You might consider seeing if you qualify for WIC or any other assistance just to help you through these times.  You've paid into the system for years, so don't feel bad about needing help now.

That's horrible!

Unfortunately that's the way things are going. Just keep looking and you will find something.

Hugs and prayers for your situation,
Victoria
