Had more spotting .....

I had many of the same issues, minus the spotting.  My HCG wasn't doubling either - but so far, I've had an US with a gestational sac, like you, then last week a heartbeat.

They aren't even doing any more HCG on me b/c at this point the visual is what they are most concerned about.  The pregnancy is considered viable at this point.

Granted, if I were spotting I'd probably be flipping out too.  Just know you have zero control other than trying to relax and see what happens.

Hang in there.

My pregnancy with Kellen went the same exact way.  I had pain and spotting so I went in for an ultrasound.  No heartbeat yet.  I was only 4 weeks apparently.  So, they had me come in again in 1.5 weeks - the heartbeat was under 95 and they thought that didn't look good so I had to wait until I was 8 weeks before they'd do another ultrasound.  However, I had HCG tests done and each time the numbers went up yet never doubled.  At 8 weeks they got a strong heartbeat.  I cried just walking back for the u/s thinking I was going to be the one to ruin the tech's day.  NOPE!

After each HCG I swore that I lost the pregnancy.  I kept thinking "sure, the number went up yesterday but that doesn't mean the baby isn't gone today" -I had such a bummer attitude that my friends didn't even want to talk to me about it anymore!  I was trying to be realistic but I was just negative, now that I look back on it.

When I went in THIS time, I was 6.5 weeks and the heartbeats were 120 each.  I was worried it was low and the tech said "no, that's good!  Their little hearts just started beating like 48 hours ago!  Give 'em a chance!"  So, I did, and they are now 160 bpm.  :)

Good luck to you.  I know nothing will stop you from worrying until you can feel them move...but try and keep your chin up!  Your still pregnant TODAY!

From everything I've read, I think you are probably going just right....which is what pretty much everybody has said.  HUGS.  Praying for you and your baby!!!!  I truly believe it will be a-ok, but praying nonetheless..

Oh darn, my heart is  for you girls.  Please be okay !

Lots of this stuff is "normal" during a pregnancy.  Your HCG rising is a great sign.

Best,
Leila

So, I read your post last night, then went to the doctor today.  I am in the same boat and I'm terrified.  Just as soon as I had gotten a positive home pregnancy test, I started spotting.  Probably, an extremely little amount, but enough to make a hopeful mommy very nervous.  So, they sent me today for the same bloodwork, but with the holiday weekend I have to wait til Tuesday for the second day's bloodwork to compare.  My Boyfriend and I are soooo happy and want this soooo bad, it's the first pregnancy/baby for both of us and we're so worried.  I'm about 7 weeks along, Due Jan. 8th.  Please post your updates, and thank you to those with knowledge, experience and support for sharing.
