Question about first period after baby!
Hello Ladies,
I had a a few questions about your first period after having a baby because I am a little freaked out. Was it heavier? did you have more and bigger clotting? I just had some big clots with a HUGE one almost the size of a small walnut (sorry tmi). I'm a little freaked because I did hemorage after I had the baby and lost a lot of blood because my uterus was not contracting like it should have been so I dont know if i'm all screwed up from here on out...
thanks!

Yes, I had that too. I think they said to only worry if they are like the size of my fist or something. It was crazy. Went on for 6 weeks then it just stopped like magic. Not a moment too soon. If you feel too weak or lightheaded, you may need to go in. It wouldn't hurt to call your OB and at least let them know what's going on since you did already hemorage. Take care. I know it sucks.
We joked that two of us were coming home with a diaper.. baby and me. In fact, I thought the diapers would fit better than the super industrial-sized pad they wanted me to keep between my legs. But if you go with much smaller, then you are changing it every 5 minutes.
Yes, it's normal. Only time you really need to be concerned is if you are passing clots the size of an orange. Lemons are fine. Grapefruits are bad.
