26 week, 4 day checkup
We had our monthly checkup at the doctor's office this morning so I thought I would post an update. We also had an ultrasound (our first in about 6-7 weeks so I was tickled to see my precious boy). The sonographer was able to do a few 4-D pictures which I LOVE b/c you can see more features than just the 2-D.
I'm 26 weeks, 4 days and baby is perfectly healthy. He even has some hair! The sonographer confirmed he is STILL a boy which made Daddy happy. He weighs 2 lbs and 5 oz already!! She said is in the 57th percentile (right on target) and measuring just right for my due date - August 23. Overall, everything looks great is going very well! I go back at 30 weeks (in about a month) for another ultrasound and checkup. So far, I've only gained 4 ½ pounds according to their records.
In leiu of the glucose test (orange drink), they did a fasting blood test. As most of us know, that is the ONLY thing my surgeon said NOT to do b/c of the high volume of sugar. Sometimes eating ice cream makes me dump so I'm SO glad my OB went along with it--from reading this board I know not all of them do! Anyway, my fasting glucose was 75 so perfect and no sign of gestational diabetes! YAY!
The one kind of issue (not really but a tiny bit) is the baby is breech RIGHT NOW. Both the doc and the sonographer said NOT to worry at all though since it is still so early. She said if I was 36 weeks (instead of 26) then they would be concerned... Nothing to worry about NOW though and as much as I feel this bugger moving, hopefully we'll be ok.
So that is my update! I still can't believe that in about 3 months or so I'll be holding our precious little boy!
Thanks for listening to me ramble on!!!

It's a BOY!
Congrats on a VERY successful appointment Mindy!
I go for my 30 week U/S next week. My doctor normally doesn't do them until 32 weeks but I begged him because I haven't had one in 12 weeks and I'm anxious to get a GOOD picture since my last set was pretty craptastic. Plus I just want to make sure Drew is still Drew and not Audrina - my SO keeps having dreams that he comes a girl - so we need to set his mind at ease.
Isn't it amazing how fast time goes by? I want him here sooo bad but at the same time I want to have the vajayjay sewn up so I can feel his kicks everyday for the rest of my life (the backpain and not being able to sleep comfortably can hit the road though!)

I'll try to post some links to Photobucket. I can't figure out how to get them to show in the message. Any ideas?
ETA some pics:
He had his feet and arms up by his head... our little guy is SO flexible! We were able to sneek in and get a few though. :)

It's a BOY!
Yeah, most babies go breech around 24 weeks up to about 30/32, then they flip. Caitlin was breech until 37 weeks, 6 days. She FLIPPED the night before the u/s to determine when we were going to schedule the c-section. And now, she doesn't want to come out, of course.
Congrats on the great appointment!
