Crawling back onto the wagon.
When I was about 5 months pregnant I fell off HARD. My little boy was born April 1st (I know, I know April Fools! He's gonna hear that his whole life.) and I got my first fill 2 days ago. So now i'm back to trying to only get 1,000 calories/ day. I did try to BF for a while but due to previous surgeries it didnt go well. I was 223 2 days after he was born and I am 198 now. I was 180 when I found out I was pregnant so that is my goal by the end of June. That may be hoping for too much but there it is. For those of you that got pregnant almost right out of surgery, how long did it take for you to get back down to where you started?
Hi there,
My baby was born on Cinco de mayo, so he'll always hear about it, too -- especially since I'm a Spanish teacher!
I gained 25 pounds with him, and I've already lost 15. I'm breastfeeding, which has to be the best diet ever! Pre-op, when I had my first, I gained 20 and lost it all within a week. This time, it's a little slower, but I'm hopeful that within a few weeks, I'll be back to where I was. :)
Good luck!
Cindy
with my 1st post op baby i was almost able to loose it all but 10 lbs. With htis one, I'm stuck with 40 lbs. Yeap, you read right. This was was a boy and not sure if that had to do with the major gain weight and harder to loose. =(

Hi,
I have not had my son yet, but I too am very interested in this subject. Although I would go back to being fat to have my baby, none of us really want to be unhealthy.
From everything I can understand I believe that everyone's body does this differently. I think as long as you get "back on the wagon" and really stick to the old rules the weight should come off. It is much harder for some than others, but our surgeries are life long tools and as long as we use them, we should be successful.
Good luck!
