We Have A Heartbeat

I had my ultrasound with my RE yesterday at 4pm. The baby is perfect and we saw the heartbeat. The baby is measuring right on target. We got to see the little sac and the baby measured 6mm. He also zoomed in and we saw the outline of our little bean and the heartbeat.

I will have another ultrasound in two weeks on 6/2/09. Then, he wants me to schedule my OB appointment for June 16th.

He said everything looks great. The baby is tucked way to the back on the left side.

It was a relief to see the heartbeat. It was funny watching two first time parents trying to figure what in the heck we were looking at :) Our RE was having a good ole time with us. He said oh my gosh you are having triplets. I looked at him and said we may be inexperienced but I know I don't have triplets and he just laughed.

At least we got some pictures and were able to study them when we got home. Then, we realized what was in the pictures. I walked out of the office and got teary eyed and said "oh my gosh, I have a baby growing inside me". I guess I didn't seem real until there was a heartbeat.

That's wonderful news, Traci!  I'm so happy for you and your DH.  How cool that you get another ultrasound in a few weeks - you'll be amazed at the changes in that short amount of time.  How's the exhaustion and early PG symptoms?

Hugs,

I am so tired. I went out of town last week from Tuesday-Sunday for a conference. Then, Monday night I had a meeting after wor****il 8pm. Last night, I had a meeting until 8pm again. So, I am EXHUASTED TODAY! I can't wait to get some rest.

I am actually happy with eveything. I have waited so long to get pregnant, I will take all of it-nausea, exhuastion, back pain, etc. The only real problem I am having is my feet swelling. Not just little bigger than normal, I am mean actually swelling. The RE said no big deal just walk and it will get better as my body adjusts to being pregnant.

Yes, so far we still have our miracle. We just keep praying that the baby continues to be a sticky bean and continues to stay happy baking away for 7 more months.
