How to tell my boss?
Alright so I know it is early - I will be 7 weeks tomorrow but I feel like I need to tell my boss. WE are a small close knit company and I am going to have to be taking quite a bit of time off for appoitments etc. I have 2 within a week next month and know that he is going to get concerned if I just keep saying I need to leave early for Dr appts. I want to tell him in the next few days just to make life less complicated.
Any suggestions? MY bosses (and most of the people that I work with) are men which makes this a whole different ball of wax - they are all fathers though.
Thanks Ladies!

Just throw it right out there - I had to do the same thing when I ended up on bed rest before they knew I wasn't tubal.
My boss is really great (and a guy, and a father) so he and my peers have been nothing but supportive. I really didn't want to tell either - but I can't disappear on a regular basis without them wondering what's up - it's much easier this way.
Good luck :)

I told my boss as soon as it was confirmed that I was pregnant. I was only 5 months out of my surgery so I knew I was goin to be missing time between the surgeon and the OB visits. They were very understanding, which was such a relief. I went in excited - acting like I wasn't worried and they were great.
Good luck to you!
Good luck to you!
You brought up to him that you were going to try to get pregnant right? I seem to remember you talking to him about that due to the time off thing and what not.
So I would go from there....and let him know you carried out your plans!
Good luck telling them!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
I want to start off saying: I hope your boss/co-workers totally support you and are excited.
And now i'm going to throw it out there. Just because you work with mostly all men and they are fathers doesn't automatically make them warm and fuzzy over pregnancy. My snake of a boss adores his children- however when I had to take my son into the doctor for an emergency- he gave me a lot of crap for it.
Do their wives work? Most of the men I work with- their wives are SAHM.... and thats where they think women belong.
After all you are their employee- their natural way of thinking of you is just that- an asset to the company.... My Company is all about face time.....I hope yours is different.
I would wait to tell them until AT least the 2nd trimester...... but thats just me. If you truely know and feel you can then go for it..... Good Luck :)
