Instead Softcups and TTC Q's
I hope someone here knows what the Instead Softcup is. And has experience using it and TTC. This round I am going to give it a try. I decided I would let hubby uhmm put his sperm in there and then I would insert the cup. But my question is...... I have been drinking 2 cups of Herbal Decaf Green Tea daily to help with CM. But I was thinking I would still put the Pre-Concieve (sperm friendly lube) lube in with the sperm in the softcup. But how do I know just how much of the lube to put in? Anyone here with any experiences with this??? TIA! Julia
I was told the lube is made to be like the EWCM that we should be producing during ovulation. So kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Helps if you are dried out, but also helps if you are not producing fertile EWCM.
The reason I would rather the sperm be put in the cup then inserted is I HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE when it leaks out. And I think at least some would leak out if he "deposits" in me first.
Have you tried this?

I've not tried it, but I have to agree.. you might want to try having him make a deposit in you then put the cup. I know leaks.. but ask him to put it in right after.
The reason I say this is, it may be difficult to have the stuff stay in the cup while trying to insert the cup. You may end up squeezing it all out trying to put it in.
If you look at how you insert it, there's a chance you might be able to keep it in there.. who knows. It's worth trying both ways.
So are you going to stand on your head afterwards? :) The Instead cup is designed for your period...
If you read the site..
Be careful using it.. and definitely use lube because the cup would normally go in while on your period, so there would be fluid to help keep it in place. Another good reason to put it in after your hubby does his deed.
Good luck!!

They say your cervix sits inside the Instead cup. I guess I feel that more sperm will be lost because as soon as he pulls his thang out its like it all comes running out. Lastnight we did a practice round and I let him deposit then put cup in, but before I did he said he could see alot of semen on the outter of my vag. So I kinda scooped up with cup and inserted. When I took cup out hours later, semen was not thick like when I put in, it looked kinda watered down. Maybe like what the EWCM is suppose to look like when u are O'ing!
But look at it this way too, if he deposits in me, the semen is all throughout my vag, all in there everywhere. But if he deposits in cup and I can get it in there without spilling (they say to pratice with 1 TBSP of water, which is more sperm than will be in there in the first place) then its just in one place. I also read to have an ****** once its in there. Sounds good to me, if that was actually possible AFTER sex. *sigh*
