Where to buy nursery furniture?

with my first years ago we bought at babies R Us, then we with the last ones we bought the dresser at Baby Depot, and cribs at BRU, BUT i have sinced learned through others that you can get really good solid furniture online at Wal-mart they sell many different brands inlcuding baby basset for much cheaper than BRU! I am ordering mine from there this time now that I know that I don't have to spend and arm and a leg to get good furniture!
 OH and you get register at Walmart too!

I was totally set on the BRU thing too but my DH thought it was overpriced and he was right...we ended up going with JcPenneys too....here is a link to our crib...

I got the matching dresser and the hutch was not available at the time....so I got a cherry finish (not exactly espresso like the crib) at Baby Depot too. It was cheap and has worked perfect...

I registered about half way through my pregnancy as I was getting pressure too....and it was fun but I had to change things a lot as I was not totally ready....I do not like Target return policy either...BRU is much more friendly....JcPenney, Sears, Baby Depot, Macy's all have good stuff....

We got every single piece of furniture for Josiah on craigslist. (I added pictures below) You can't even believe the amazing deal we got. We chose a convertible crib so he can use it for the next few years.

I registered @ BRU and Walmart. I started right away and added things as I got along in my prengancy. I also looked at other people registered for on BRU and got ideas from them. Target has a pain in the ass return policy so I didn't go there.








Here is the rocker I was telling you about the other day.

I'm a huge fan of craigslist! I found a lovely crib there that converts to a toddler bed and later to a full size bed, mint condition, for $150. It also happens to match a dresser I already had that I planned to use in the baby room. Believe me, there's still NO SHORTAGE of other things to register for! I registered for a mattress, changing pad and bedding and have already been given those by my parents and my husband's mom and grandparents.
